April Burgin was a professional dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. During that time she had an injury that disabled her from dancing, but through the hands of the in-house massage therapist and acupuncturist, she was back up and dancing within the month, From that experience, she realized how powerful massage is and decided that this was the path for her. She graduated from Educating Hands 21 years ago and is now sitting for the boards to become accupuncture certified.
